silk on canvas

after the shape was cut out of the canvas and the frame revealed itself, and the piece practically paved it’s own path. once the first pieces of silk were wrapped, knotting a different shade and wrapping on added some depth. the unraveling edges made the colors blend together even more. this piece came together one step at a time, the colors and effect of the silk a fiery bonus.
